VEDIC MATHS
By OMKAR TENDOLKAR
Hello friends,
This is our fifth blog from the series of "Vedic maths" blogs. Here in this blog we will learn about "special multiplications".
Here in this blog we will learn about "multiplication of numbers with series of 1's" in Vedic maths. Using the method given below we can instantly multiply any number with 11, 111, 1111, 11111, etc.
This technique is divided into two case. In the first case, will will multiplying a given 2-digits number with 2 digit number in series of 1's i.e. 11. In the second case, we will multiplying a given number with 111, 1111, 11111 etc. By dot sandwich method.
Special multiplication:
Multiplication of numbers with a series of 1's
Case 1:
In Case 1 we will be multiplying a given 2-digit number number with 11
- Check whether multiplier is 11
- Confirm that Multiplicand is 2-digit
- Put sum of 2 digit between them
- Check whether multiplier is 11
- Since multiplicand is 24 i.e. 2 digit number it satisfy necessary condition for this case
- Put sum between them like 2#4 here # is sum of digits in multiplicand i.e. (2+4=6)
- The complete answer is 264
- 81×11=891
- 42×11=462
- 53×11=583
- 75×11=825
- 59×11=649
1. 22 × 11
2. 34 × 11
3. 76 × 11
You may answer this in comment box. You may ask your any query or doubt in comment box. I will try to resolve as early as possible.
We will meet very soon through our next blog. Till that stay connected, stay healthy and stay safe.
Thanks

ReplyDeleteThis must be that math they're teaching in schools now - the "new math". I never understood the concept, but you explained it perfectly!
