VEDIC MATHS

                           By OMKAR TENDOLKAR

Hello friends,

This is  post number 51 from the series of "Vedic maths" blogs. Here in this blog we will learn about "Method of finding Cube The Anupriya Method-2"

Reference:

We had already learn about "Method of cubing number" our previous blog. If you have missed my last blog then please visit "VEDIC MATHS-49".

We had already learn about "Method of finding Cube The Anupriya Method-1" our previous blog. If you have missed my last blog then please visit "VEDIC MATHS-50".

Sometimes the divisors are such that it is difficult to calculate the answer by itself. In these cases, we substitute the divisor using another number and then calculate the answer.

Cubing numbers:
Cubing can be defined as multiplying a number by itself and again by itself.
The cube of a number is expressed by putting a small three on the top right part of the number.
For example,
3^3 = 9
5^3 = 125.

In this blog we will study two methods of cubing numbers.
  1. Formula Method
  2. The Anupriya sutra
1. The Anupriya method:

Examples:

1. Find the cube of 31  (a = 3, b = 1)

In this case, the value of ‘a’ is 3 and the value of b is ‘1’.
It must be remembered that we can find the cube of a number by taking the ratio b/a or a/b. When we move from left to right the ratio is b/a and when we move from right to left the ratio is a/b.
In this case we will move from right to left and the ratio will be a/b. Thus, the ratio is 3/1.

First row:
1^3              =  1
1     *  3/1    =  3
3     *  3/1    =  9
9     *  3/1    =  27

Second row:
The terms of the second row are 6 and 18.
The terms of the second row is obtained by doubling the middle terms of the first row.
The final figure is as given below.

                  27 |   9 | 3 | 1
                       | 18 | 6 |
               -------------------------
                  27 | 27 | 9 | 1

On adding 27000 + 2700 + 90 +1 we have 29791. Thus, the cube is 29791.

Answer:
Cube of 31 is 29791.

2. Find the cube of 33

 (33)^3    =    27 |  27 |  27 |  27
                          |  54 |  54 |
                   ------------------------------
                     27 |  81 |  81 | 27

               = 27000 + 8100 + 810 + 27

               = 35937

Answer:
Cube of 33 is 35937.

3. Find the cube of 42

 (42)^3    =     64 |  32 |  16 | 8
                           |  64 |  32 |
                   -----------------------------
                      64 |  96 |  48 | 8

               = 64000 + 9600 + 480 + 8

               = 74088

Answer:
Cube of 42 is 74088.

4. Find the cube of 62

 (62)^3    =    216 |   72 |  24 |  8
                            | 144 |  48 |
                   -------------------------------
                    216 | 216 |  72 |  8

               = 216000 + 21600 + 720 + 8

               = 238328

Answer:
Cube of 62 is 238328.

5. Find the cube of 22

 (22)^3    =        8 |   8 |   8 |  8
                            | 16 | 16 |
                    ---------------------------
                         8 | 24 | 24 |  8

               = 8000 + 2400 + 240 + 8

               = 10648

Answer:
Cube of 22 is 10648.

Find Cube of following:

  1. (66)^3 = 287496
  2. (77)^3 = 456533
  3. (91)^3 = 753571
The simplicity of this method can be vouched from examples given above.

You may try following example:

Find cube of followings

1. (43)^3

2. (72)^3

3. (101)^3

You may answer this in comment box. You may ask your any query or doubt in comment box. I will try to resolve as early as possible.

In next blog we will discuss about "The Rule Of Zeros".

Are you excited for this?...
Then, please wait for it.
I will post my new blog in next week.

We will meet very soon through our next  blog. Till that stay connected, stay healthy and stay safe.

Thanks

for giving your valuable time.

Good day😊.
